Signs of spring are peeking out and we are looking ahead to beautiful spring, summer and fall days with lots of special events. A few Saturdays are still available in 2011 and there are more options for other days of the week.  Whether it’s a wedding, a reception, a rehearsal dinner, a family reunion, a birthday party, an anniversary party or a company social, you and your guests will delight in the charm of our historic home and the beauty of our expansive grounds.

The Christmas season and snow have been beautiful at the Rand-Bryan House.

This fall has been full of beautiful weddings at the Rand-Bryan House. The landscaping, accented by flowers still in bloom and fall colors on the trees, set the stage for outdoor ceremonies. Some chose the garden setting of the front lawn while others gathered in the side yard surrounded by the Christmas tree farm. The lawn and porch provided the perfect setting on fall afternoons and evenings for lots of cocktail hours. Then, the happy couples welcomed their guests into the historic home for their receptions.  Hope you enjoy some pictures of some of our weddings and receptions.

On September 20, 2010, the Rand-Bryan House was presented the Anthemion Award by Capital Area Preservation. This award “recognizes and honors outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in historic preservation in Wake County”. Owners Robert & Martha Liles accepted the award at a reception in Raleigh. Also accepting awards for the project were Kristen Hess of HH Architecture and Rick Parker of Renovation Specialists.  Also, General Contractor for the Rand-Bryan House 2009 renovation, Rick Parker, recently was awarded the Best Light Commercial under $500,000 for the 2010 STAR Awards – The STAR Awards is the awards program for the Remodelers Council of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County.
